Chris Blackwater is an engineer-turned-writer from Leeds, who lives in Hampshire, England. His debut novel, Emergency Drill, set on a North Sea oil rig, was shortlisted for the CWA Debut Dagger Award and was published by Dark Edge Press in January 2022. His second book, Dead Crude, will be published in 2023.
